Why can't I play all of the images in the Puzzle Pack I just downloaded?
Chances are, you are playing a Puzzle Pack you have not purchased yet. In the demo version of the Puzzle Pack you can play the puzzles for the images in the lefthand column of the pack's display as often as you like (and for as long as you wish) , but you must purchase the Puzzle Pack to gain access to the other images in the pack.
How do I purchase a Puzzle Pack?
There are two simple ways to purchase a Puzzle Pack. After you make the purchase, you will receive an "unlock code" via e-mail which will make all of the pack's images available for play.
From this page:Go directly to the Playtonium Store and locate the Puzzle Pack you wish to unlock. Click the order button. Then fill out the required information and purchase the Puzzle Pack. You will receive an email shortly after your purchase with your special unlock code.
From inside of the game:From the game's main screen, click any one of the thumbnail images which are not available for play in a demo Puzzle Pack. A pop-up menu appears for that image. There is a button in the pop-up menu titled "Purchase Pack". Click this button to launch the Playtonium Store page in your Internet browser. Follow the instructions above once you have arrived in the Playtonium Store.
Ok, I have the unlock code for a Puzzle Pack; now what?
Launch the Playtonium Jigsaw game. Make sure the Puzzle Pack you wish to unlock is one of the Packs available for play in the game. At the bottom of the game's main screen, click the
on to open the "Preferences" window. Once it opens, use its drop-down navigation menu to select the "Unlock a Demo Puzzle Pack" option. Once you are on this unlock screen, select the Puzzle Pack you wish to unlock. Then fill out the required fields completely. Make certain that the information you type (e-mail address and unlock code) is the same as what was printed in the e-mail you received from our store. Finally, press the "Unlock Demo Pack" button and this Puzzle Pack will be unlocked.
I'd prefer to play with larger or smaller puzzle pieces than I currently get. Can I change their size?
At the bottom of the game's main screen, click the
button. The preferences window should appear. Once it appears, use this window's drop-down navigation menu to select the "Image & Piece Size" option. Choose the size of the pieces you prefer, and close the preferences window to save your settings.
I'd prefer to play puzzles in a larger or smaller "window" than the one which normally opens. How do I change this?
There are two ways to change this. The first is to use the window "Maximize" and "Restore"buttons in the upper right of the puzzle window to switch between full screen and windowed modes. The second is to click and drag the small silver triangle in the lower right corner of the puzzle window to adjust its size to your liking. Note that all of these windows controls are not available on small monitors set to a display resolution of 640x480.
How do I listen to my MP3 music files while I am doing jigsaws?
At the bottom of the game's main screen, click the
. The sound and music window will open. Using its drop-down menu, select the "Choose Your MP3 Directory" option to go to this screen. On this screen, click the "Select Directory" button. Browse your hard drive to the location of a directory containing your MP3 files. Select this directory and click OK. Next, a dialog will appear which will tell you how many MP3 files were found. Click OK once more. At this point, your MP3 directory should now be displayed in the Sounds & Music window.
Once you have selected this directory, navigate to the "Play - MP3 Music Files" in this window. There, you will see two boxes. The box on the left displays all of the MP3 titles (file names) that were found in your directory. The box on the right will contain a "Play List" which you assemble. Click on and drag the song titles you wish to play from the MP3 directory (left) to the Play List (right) individually. Or, press the "add all" button if you wish to play all of your songs. Finally, in the play list, select the MP3 file you wish to play first and click the play button.
Note: The game will remember the location of your MP3 directory and your custom play list from game session to game session . . . so much of the above will only need to be done once.
The puzzle window background pattern makes some puzzle pieces difficult to see. How do I change it?
Every Puzzle Pack has twenty different background patterns for the puzzle window. Some of these are special backgrounds which have the same theme as the Puzzle Pack (animals, nature, etc.). When you wish to change the puzzle window's background pattern, click the
button and hold the mouse button down. A small control panel with all of the backgrounds will appear. Move your mouse over the desired background and release your mouse. The background will change to the one you selected.
How do I save an unfinished puzzle?
If you don't have time to finish the puzzle you are working on and don't want to start over fresh in your next session, just save the unfinished puzzle. Press the
button. The "Save Your Puzzle" window will open. Enter any name you wish to give the saved puzzle (up to 20 characters) and press the
button to save it.
How do I open a saved puzzle?
At the bottom of the game's main screen, click the
button. When the "Load Saved" window opens, click on the puzzle file you wish to open in the list of all of your saved puzzles. This puzzle will open in a new puzzle window and all of the pieces will be in the positions in which they were saved.
